I Am a Special Child 2019

‘Disability is a matter of perception” - Martina Navratilova.

A stage for those differently abled; ‘I Am A Special Child’ is an initiative by the ‘Rotaract Club of Wellawatte’ and has, as of now, been in effect since January 2016, in a bid to provide children who are uniquely abled either physically or mentally with an opportunity to showcase their many artistic talents. Make your way over to the streets of Colombo 7 for an eve of enthralling music and dance.

Why You Should Go

Backed by one of the strongest youth movements in Sri Lanka, the concert has evolved into an annual anticipated event, dedicated to helping those in need form their own identity and find their place in the world, touch base with their artistic skills and step into the shoes of a dancer, a singer or a performer. Settle back and take in performances of exhilarating dance, courtesy of members of the ‘Surasa School and Home for Special Education’. Immerse yourself in the artistic prowess of unique individuals, harnessed and perfected for weeks in meticulous rehearsal and sprung to life under the public eye on April 7th.
