The bucolic town of Nuwara Eliya takes a scenic station amidst the velvety mountains that soar into pale-green skies of the countryside. Take a merry seat on a train that rumbles down to Nuwara Eliya and sit back and admire as the rolling mountains move in to view, smudging the mist. Soak in blossom-time at the Hakgala Botnical Gardens that spreads its bloomy arms along 28 hectares. Remember to trek in the plains on a pearly, mellow morning before clouds roll in.
