Earl’s Regency

The Earl’s Regency is a luxury hotel situated in one of Sri Lanka’s most historically famous locations, Kandy.  A visited tourist destination in the island, Kandy is the capital of Sri Lanka’s last monarchy and home to the eminent Temple of the Tooth.  Here one can experience the splendour of Sri Lanka’s rich heritage while being pampered like royalty at Earl’s Regency.

While residing in this luxurious stay, there is much to explore in this iconic city including the Temple of the Tooth that houses the Tooth Relic of Buddha.  One can exhilarate in the best view of Kandy at the top of Upper Lake Drive and capture that perfect photo of a city surrounded by mountains and greenery, paired with tea plantations that resemble a cascading green carpet!  Be sure to enjoy the evening entertainment of traditional Sri Lankan dance, known as Kandyan dance, performed to perfection through practice at Kandy’s traditional dance schools.  The Botanical gardens of Kandy presents the unimaginable beauty of tropical foliage mostly endemic to Sri Lanka.  This large garden is beautifully landscaped and one could spend an entire day surrounded by some of the most unique flora in the world.  Also interesting to see is the Trinity College Cathedral often open to visitors, showcasing its beauty definitely most pleasing to the eye.  A drive through the Peradeniya Campus that produced some of Sri Lanka’s most distinguished academics is also worthwhile.
